Wow!

I'm a Publix nut, as just about everyone knows. I've found this great link, IHeartPublix.com and it's my shopping bible! Since I try to get as much stuff as I can for our church food pantry, this is a blessing! This week alone I am stocking up on free JollyTime Popcorn (Advantage buy 3/$3 and there is a $.50 cpn out there).

Also, I'm not one to toot my own horn, but I was voted #1 Massage Therapist in North Alabama by the local Fox affiliate!!!

Wow..I'm surprised how things just fall into place. Well, not really...it's actually my philosophy that if it's meant to be, it flows. work has picked up and I've joined a gym for free! My friend is a full member at Planet Fitness and can bring a friend for free. so I'm going for free. I'll join for only $10 a month if this exercise program sticks!

New Years Resolutions

Work and live have been stressful the last half of 2009, so now I"m resolving a few things:

1. Save money to get out of debt in 2010: Work was okay the first half of the year, but sometime over the summer it just bottomed out. In order to keep myself afloat, I got into a little debt. I am going to get better control of my money and make a financial chart.

2. Work 3 hours a day: This will give me $120 a day towards my goal.

3. Be more organized with my life. I feel like I have no control, but am making strides to get the control back. I have a great organizer and have committed to only do things that make me happy and not take on the negativity of other people. This will mean getting rid of a few people in my life.

So as a small step towards #1, I am no longer going to Starbucks. This one is difficult because there is a Starbucks in front of my Publix! Last week I purchased Starbucks coffee (on sale and with a coupon of course) and three bottles of flavored Coffeemate (for $.25 each!) and am creating my own every morning. I took it as a sign that when I empty each bag, I can take the empty bag to Starbucks for a free tall brew coffee! Each bag was $5.49 and the Coffeemate was $.25. For about the cost of one Pumpkin Spice Latte, I will have about 2 weeks worth of homemade!

I'm bored with blogging (obviously). But just found this great deal if you know someone who likes Oprah. get one year of O Magazine for only $5. what a great gift!!

Print out a coupon for a free pair of panties at Victoria's Secret. I was just there yesterday but plan to swing by again for this freebie. This makes me feel better since I only got 1 free pair, a free eye shadow and a free lip gloss yesterday from VS and 1 free panty from the PINK store. I usually get 2 cards from each store about every month. I was feeling neglected!

Publix goodies

I found the following goodies at Publix this week. Feel free to indulge.

Clorox Popups are on sale for $2. They also are on the 'buy theirs get ours free" display, so if you have $.50 coupons, you can get 1 Clorox brand and one Publix brand together for $1. I had 3 coupons, so got 6 canisters for $3!!!

Hunts Tomatoes are B1G1 (2 for $1.43). There are $.45/3 out there, so you can get 3 cans for $1.25 ($.41 each)

Lipton Tea is B1G1 and there are many $.50 coupons out there, so you can get 2 for $.53! That's $.26 each! Hard to beat that!!!

Interesting trip to Publix today! If you have all the right coupons, you can buy a lot by spending a little.

On Saturday's trip, I was handed a "Get a taste" flyer, which has weekly freebies. this weeks freebie is a loaf of Italian 5 grain bread.

Here's the odd pairing: I had a manufacturer coupon for .50/2 crescent rolls. They are on sale for $1. There is a Publix coupon for $1 off if you buy Pillsbury biscuits and Progresso Soup (valid 9/11 - 10/11). I also had a $1/2 Progresso soups, which are on sale for $1.25 a can. There is also a Free reusable shopping bag if you buy 2 General Mills products. If that wasn't enough, the Saltine crackers had a $1 off if you purchased any can of soup.

Publix visit

Back from vacation and settling back into life! Although still haven't colored my hair.

Publix is in full summer swing. If you are having a picnic soon, now is the time to stock up on freebies.

French's mustard is b1g1 @ 2/$1.89. There are many $.50 coupons out there, including the French's site and the Home Solution News website.

Mt. Olive pickles are b1g1 @ 2/2.79 and todays paper had a $.50 coupon.

Kraft BBQ sauce is on sale b1b1 @ 2/1.39. There are many $.75 coupons from the paper.

Lipton tea bags are b1g1 @ 2/$2.47 and there were recent $.50 coupons in the paper.

There is also a great deal on Pepperidge Farm Farmhouse bread. The Green Valley store has it on sale for $1.99 with a peelie on it for $1 off. I'm not sure how long the $1.99 sale goes on, but when we eat these 2 loaves, i'm going back for more!
